As one of many female Superstars standing in the shadow of NXT Women’s Champion Asuka, Liv Morgan might need to hustle a bit more to make a name for herself. She missed the window to test her mettle against The Four Horsewomen of NXT, then quickly fell in defeat in her one title opportunity against Asuka.

Yet, unlike many of her peers, Morgan knows what it’s like to go one-on-one with a dominant NXT Women’s Champion. She can stand her ground against two rivals at the same time, just as she’s had to do repeatedly in her battles with Peyton Royce & Billie Kay. Now, she’s fighting her way back into the main spotlight, competing against the likes of Royce & Kay as well as the now-injured Ember Moon.

She is doing everything to put herself in the right place in NXT. Now, she just needs to rise up at the right time to earn the respect and accolades that await this budding Superstar in the very near future.

Two of NXT’s up-and-coming female Superstars take turns narrating over each other’s set of single-leg squats inside the WWE Performance Center weight room.

Liv Morgan & Ember Moon vs Billie Kay & Peyton Royce

After General Manager William Regal set up the match between The Iconic Duo and Liv with a partner of her choice in the week before, Liv is joined by her friend Ember Moon.

Ember and Billie start the match off and Ember immediately manages to get the offense. Liv and Peyton get tagged in a few moments later and Liv executes a beautiful Clothesline-Dropkick-Bulldog sequence, before putting Peyton in a vicious STO. Liv tries to cover Royce, but her partner in crime Billie Kay gets involved and breaks up what could have been a 3-count. When Ember tries to sweep up Billie and even the odds, she finds herself overpowered by the Iconic Duo. The Australian-born Superstars Double-Team Liv Morgan and Billie finally pins her after getting tagged in by Peyton.

Winners – Billie Kay & Peyton Royce

Liv Morgan vs Billie Kay w/ Peyton Royce

These two have history with each other and you can definitely tell. They waste no time and lock up, as Billie gets dirty and grabs Liv’s hair. She drives her into the corner, but Liv manages to fight her way out of it. Kay throws Liv into the ropes and lays down, but Liv just steps right on her back and rides her like a Surfboard. Liv wraps her legs around Billie and rolls her around the ring for numerous 1-counts a few times. Billie kicks out of the final attempt and manages to take over the offense. When Liv finds herself in the corner, she tries to roll Kay up, but she just kicks out and beats Morgan back down. Billie dominates Liv for a few moments but Liv gets her head back in the game as the WWE NXT Universe starts chanting in her favor. She executes an impressive Rope-Assisted Hurricanrana off of the corner and Rolls Billie up and steals the victory, knocking Peyton off the apron, when Royce tries to get involved.

Winner – Liv Morgan

Liv Morgan vs Ember Moon

The bell rings and they don’t waste much time, locking up. They exchange grapples and both Kip Up. Liv and Ember both grin as they share a quick handshake. Ember goes for a Clothesline, but Liv dodges with a Matrix and goes for an early cover. Ember kicks out and goes for a cover of her own. Ember rolls Liv up, but Morgan manages to roll over at 2. The two roll around the ring for a moment until Liv kicks out and they get separated. Liv dominates with a Crucifix Headscissor Takedown, but fails to take Moon out. Ember takes over the offense and continues to dominate until Morgan manages to transition Ember’s Crossface into a Pinfall. Kickout at 2 and the match continues. Liv manages to regain her Momentum with a Dropkick-Bulldog-Kip Up Sequence. She waits a moment and locks in a vicious Guillotine, continuing her dominance. Ember manages to get out of it and Liv takes a nasty fall to the outside.  After Moon gets Morgan back in the ring, she manages to take her out once and for all with the Eclipse. After the match Ember helps Liv up and the two shake hands as a sign of respect.

Winner – Ember Moon

Liv Morgan vs Billie Kay vs Ember Moon – Triple Threat Match

The match starts off when Liv and Ember go for a Handshake, but Billie Kay decides to break it up. Both of them seem to be going for her, as she rolls out of the ring. Liv and Ember start off with a simple Grapple until Ember sends Morgan into the ropes. Liv fends off with a Shoulder Strike, but finds herself in trouble, as Ember executes an impressive Kip Up Frankensteiner. Kay tries to take Moon out from behind, but gets sent back outside quickly. Liv takes advantage of the distraction and performs a Crucifix Headscissor Takedown on Ember Moon, following a vicious Dropkick. Kay comes running in from the outside, but gets trapped by a Sliding Sunset Flip Takedown by Liv. She spins her around the ring for numerous 1-counts, before Ember breaks her actual Pin Attempt up. Liv runs the ropes and takes both of her opponents down with a Double Bulldog. She goes for a cover on Billie Kay, but as she kicks out Morgan lands on Ember for another cover. Ember kicks out and the match continues with Morgan Leapfrogging over Kay and landing on Moon in a Thesz Press Takedown. Billie Kay breaks up the Pinfall and sends Liv to the outside. Ember and Billie exchange offense until Liv tries to make her way back into the ring and gets thrown right back outside by Billie. Liv finally manages to get back into the ring and takes Billie down with a huge Elbow before getting sent to the outside once again.  When Billie sends Ember out as well, Liv tries her luck one more time and charges at Billie. Unfortunately for her, she gets thrown outside once again. Kay collects both of her opponents and tries to cover each of them inside the squared circle. Both of them kick out and get chopped by Billie, before taking her out together with a Double-Chop. Billie rolls outside and Ember and Liv exchange hits before latter gets taken down with a big  Springboard Crossbody. Ember goes for a cover, but gets stopped by Billie Kay. When Ember Moon finds herself on the Top Rope, Liv Morgan runs up and hinders her from what looked to be the Setup of her deadly Eclipse Finisher. The two stand on the Top Rope, trying to out-power one another, until Hometown Hero Billie Kay  picks Liv up for a huge Powerbomb. Liv manages to kick out before the 3-count, but the impact was too big to simply get back up. She rolls outside as Ember takes Billie out once and for all with the Eclipse.

Winner – Ember Moon

Liv Morgan & Aliyah vs Peyton Royce & Billie Kay

After a quick game of Rock, Paper, Scissors to determine who starts off the match between Liv and Aliyah, Liv and Billie assume positions. The bell rings and the two stare off before locking up. Billie quickly takes the upper hand with a Fireman’s Carry, but Liv is even quicker to regain her base with a Leg Sweep and Jacknife cover for the 1-count. Morgan executes a Sunset Flip and rolls Kay around the ring in a Bodyscissor, scoring numerous 1-counts, before covering her one final time for a 2-count. Morgan tags in Aliyah and the two Double-Team Billie with a Double Clothesline Kip-Up. Aliyah dominates Kay for a while, before latter tags in her partner in crime. The fresh Peyton Royce can’t match Aliyah’s speed and gets overpowered quickly. They go back and forth for a while, until Peyton tags in Billie. The two take turns in humiliating Aliyah for a while, before she manages to escape and Tags in Liv, who proceeds to take Peyton out with a Running Crossbody before fulfilling a Comeback Sequence on Billie. Peyton breaks up what could have been a successful pinfall and tags herself in. The Iconic Duo executes a deadly Bulldog-Knee Combo for the win.

Winners – Peyton Royce & Billie Kay

Liv Morgan, Aliyah & Ember Moon vs Billie Kay, Peyton Royce & Daria Berenato

The match starts with Liv Morgan and Billie Kay. Billie takes the offense with a few overhead strikes, but after sending her to the ropes, Morgan quickly takes over with a Handspring Hurricanrana. Peyton runs to her partner’s Aid, but Liv has a solution for that as well and sends her flying with a Dropkick. She runs the ropes and takes both of them down with a Running Bulldog before tagging Aliyah into the match. Aliyah goes against Daria, as the newcomer is looking to set a mark. Daria takes the offence as we go into a Commercial Break. After the Break, we see the Heel Trio trap Aliyah in the corner. They continue to tarnish her until she successfully tags in Ember Moon. Ember faces off against Peyton and manages to get the Upper hand for the Face Team. After Daria breaks up what could have been a successful pin by Ember, Morgan comes for the rescue and takes Berenato down with a STO. Billie has had enough and forces Daria to make the Tag. The Iconic Duo decide to leave their Team member behind as Ember Moon takes advantage of the situation and hits her Top Rope Stunner Finish for the win.

Winners – Liv Morgan, Aliyah & Ember Moon

While getting ready for NXT TakeOver: Toronto, Mickie James reflects on her family, wrestling and returning to the ring.

Liv Morgan vs Billie Kay

Liv and Peyton don’t waste a second and go at it as soon as the bell rings. Peyton manages to beat Liv down and dominates for a few minutes. Liv tries to regain momentum with some aggressive Forearms, but Peyton overpowers her and takes things to the corner. When Royce Irish Whips her into the corner, Morgan hops on the Top Rope and gets out of there with a Forward Roll. What follows is a failed Roll Up attempt by Morgan and a chain of Clotheslines, followed by a Dropkick and a Bulldog by Liv. She fires up the crowd and hits a STO on Peyton. Billie goes for the distraction, but also catches one of Liv’s Forearms. Liv has had enough and executes a Jumping DDT, transitioned into a Guillotine Hold, in an effort to take Royce down once and for all. Right as it seems like Peyton is about to tap out, Kay gets into the ring and attacks Morgan. Liv gets the win via Disqualification, but it doesn’t end there. The two take down Liv as the crowd begins to chant for Aliyah, who then comes out in an effort to even the odds, but also gets taken down by the Iconic Duo. They finish Aliyah off with the same Bulldog-Knee Combo they used on Liv the week prior. They take things outside of the ring and continue to tarnish Liv until Ember Moon makes the save. She runs into the ring and takes Team Iconic out with a Springboard Crossbody. After Liv gets back to her feet, they end things with a Double Dropkick to Kay and Royce.

Winner – Liv Morgan via Disqualification
