Liv Morgan vs Billie Kay

Liv and Peyton don’t waste a second and go at it as soon as the bell rings. Peyton manages to beat Liv down and dominates for a few minutes. Liv tries to regain momentum with some aggressive Forearms, but Peyton overpowers her and takes things to the corner. When Royce Irish Whips her into the corner, Morgan hops on the Top Rope and gets out of there with a Forward Roll. What follows is a failed Roll Up attempt by Morgan and a chain of Clotheslines, followed by a Dropkick and a Bulldog by Liv. She fires up the crowd and hits a STO on Peyton. Billie goes for the distraction, but also catches one of Liv’s Forearms. Liv has had enough and executes a Jumping DDT, transitioned into a Guillotine Hold, in an effort to take Royce down once and for all. Right as it seems like Peyton is about to tap out, Kay gets into the ring and attacks Morgan. Liv gets the win via Disqualification, but it doesn’t end there. The two take down Liv as the crowd begins to chant for Aliyah, who then comes out in an effort to even the odds, but also gets taken down by the Iconic Duo. They finish Aliyah off with the same Bulldog-Knee Combo they used on Liv the week prior. They take things outside of the ring and continue to tarnish Liv until Ember Moon makes the save. She runs into the ring and takes Team Iconic out with a Springboard Crossbody. After Liv gets back to her feet, they end things with a Double Dropkick to Kay and Royce.

Winner – Liv Morgan via Disqualification

Liv doesn’t hesitate and rolls into the ring, taking down Kay with a Double-Leg-Takedown. She beats her up as Peyton gets back into the ring and takes down Liv. Morgan tries to fight back, but she has no chance until Aliyah joins and evens the odds. After a brutal brawl the Iconic Duo takes over and sets a statement as Peyton takes out Aliyah and proceeds to Bulldog Liv right into Billie’s knee.

The two grapple for a few seconds, until Morgan drives Kay into the corner and the two get separated by the referee. Billie tries to take advantage of the situation, but misses a Forearm Smash as Liv rolls her up in a Small Package. Kay kicks out as Liv Morgan takes the lead with a Headlock. After pulling her hair, Billie manages to take the offence with a Fireman’s Carry as the match continues. Billie runs the ropes as Liv gets up and fulfils a successful Comeback Sequence. Morgan taunts her opponent and delivers a devastating Low Dropkick to the back of Billie Kay’s head. What follows is another unsuccessful pin attempt by Liv as Billie kicks out and gets the offence at last. Billie, taking Peyton Royce’s orders from ringside, makes a pin attempt, but Liv kicks out. Kay dominates Morgan for a while, as Royce watches from ringside. Liv manages to come back with a Reverse STO Counter after getting dominated by the self proclaimed Femme Fatale of NXT. Winner – Billie Kay

“I want Asuka.” Three simple words uttered by Liv Morgan that would transport her career into a whole new light.

“If you look at my life on paper, I’m not supposed to be here, but I am,” Morgan told WWE.com. “I made a pipe dream a reality. Asuka is at the top of the NXT Women’s division and that’s where I want to be.”

Two weeks ago, following a successful victory over Rachael Fazio, Morgan shocked the NXT Universe by calling out the undefeated NXT Women’s Champion. Fast-forward to the present day and not only did Morgan get her wish, but Asuka would make extremely quick work of the New Jersey native. As evidenced by this week’s broadcast of NXT, Morgan is still licking her wounds after the encounter with The Empress of Tomorrow but, surprisingly enough, she’s also still driven to do the impossible.

“My arms were shot; my shoulders specifically,” Morgan revealed. “They felt like dead weight. I’ve been icing a lot but I’m not letting that stop me. I have so much work to do and so much to improve on. Training is my priority. I know the match was quick and I can honestly say Asuka is unlike anyone WWE has ever seen before. I’m happy to have had that opportunity and thankful that she gave me one. I’m on the come up and I can only go up from here.“

Perhaps there is a method to Morgan’s proverbial madness. While NXT Superstars like Peyton Royce and Billie Kay have chosen to poke fun at Morgan’s effort, opportunity seems to be the theme of today’s NXT Women’s division landscape. With the recent departures of NXT stalwarts like Alexa Bliss, Carmella, Nia Jax and Bayley, the division has never been more primed for someone to step out of the pack. Morgan’s current philosophy backs up her recent actions.

“I’m not scared of anyone or anything,” she said. “I live life without limits and I will go after anything I want with no hesitation. I make moves, not excuses.”

As Morgan approaches her two-year anniversary on the NXT roster, her goals remain simple: Make her family proud and break down the barriers on her way to the top of NXT Women’s division.

“My whole life has consisted of overcoming the odds,” Morgan explained. “Growing up, I learned quickly that I lived in an atmosphere where the odds were never in my favor. I came from the dirt, ran through the mud and now I’m clickin’ my J’s on marble floors. NXT is a blessing.”

Nia Jax vs Liv Morgan

Nia dominates with a few Elbow Drops and Forearms, before Liv strikes a Forearm of her own. They go back and forth with Strikes and Grapples, before Nia takes over the offense. After a few moments of Jax dominating, Liv takes over the offense with a Headscissor Whip into the corner and after a failed Monkey Flip attempt, she finds herself on the top turnbuckle and dives over Jax, landing in a forward roll. Liv hits a few Dropkicks, but doesn’t manage to take Nia down. When Nia catches Morgan while attempting to run the ropes, Nia hits a hardhitting Powerbomb for the three count.
